Office Buldings Merrimack I and V, Calle Josefa Valcárcel, Madrid
The two projects were conceived with the client’s premise of creating unique office buildings integrated into the urban context in which they are located. The first commission was for Merrimack I, followed later by Merrimack V with the intention of creating unitary whole forming a business park. The buildings are designed with the flexibility to be occupied each by a single entity, simultaneously by floor, or as a business park for a company headquarters.
Office floors are rectangular shaped with open floor plates and adjoined vertical communication cores on one side. Structural supports are located on the perimeter, providing the space with great versatility and natural light in the interior.
Both projects have been developed to obtain the LEED certification with PLATINUM category, Merrimack I has been granted LEED CORE AND SHELL v3 PLATINUM.
